He was predeceased by: his parents, Clara Steadman Puckett and Ralph Atticus Puckett; his siblings, Clara Puckett Winston and Thomas Steadman Puckett; and his daughter Jean Puckett Raney.
He is survived by: his wife Jeannie Martin Puckett; his children, Martha Lane Puckett Wilcoxson (Tony Wilcoxson) and Thomas Martin Puckett (Chip Whitman); and his grandchildren, Lauren Flanary Raney (MD), Dixon Flanary Raney, Martha Lane Kinnett, Jean Martin DeLoach (Jack DeLoach), Sarah Burnett (David Alan Burnett) and John Robertson Kinnett IV. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
