He was predeceased by: his parents, Cleveland Mathis and Lillie Mae Mathis (Love); his wife Yvonne Mathis (Santos); and his siblings, Mildred Williams and Frankie Mathis Spencer.
He is survived by: his stepdaughter Cynthia Thompson; his grandsons, William Delshawn Thompson and Aaron Manigault; his great grandchildren, Delshawn Thompson (D. J.), Demetri Thompson, Danielle Thompson and Sonia Candelaria; and his siblings, Mary Teachey, Mable Chasten, Virginia Vaughn, Robert Mathis, Geraldine Mason, James Mathis, Diane Bishop and Debbie Degree. He is also survived by his family and friends; but, especially his fur baby.
