He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Joseph Chauvaux and Sarah Bell Hughes (Chauvaux); his wife Myrlene Bolin Chauvaux; his sons, James Edward Chauvaux and Kenneth Raymond Chauvaux; his daughter-in-law Alice Faye Chauvaux; and his siblings, Jeanne Higgins (George), Arthur Chauvaux (Alyce), Albert F. Chauvaux (Ruth) and Richard Chauvaux (Joanne).

He is survived by: his brothers, Edward L Chauvaux (Mary Ruth) and David L. Chauvaux (Chris); his sister-in-law Ruth Chauvaux; his grandchildren, Sarah Kathryn Young (Anthony), Michele Ann Hamilton (Heath), Tracey Elizabeth Chauvaux and Brandon Ray Chauvaux; and his great grandchildren, Kathryn Elizabeth Young, Nez Cooper Hamilton and Tess Hamilton. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
