He was predeceased by: his father Michael Edward. He is survived by: his wife Doris; and his children, Mary Kathleen Ellis (Charles) of North, GA and Richard Lawrence Jelley Jr. (Tara) of Brevard. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Brevard Wesleyan Church where half of the donation will be sent to Franklin, NC Nantahala Hiking Club.
