He was predeceased by: his parents, Reuben Bennett Mobley and Stella Mae Campbell; his wife Ruth Kathleen King; his children, Karen Elizabeth Armstrong and Robert Campbell Meadows, Jr.; and his sisters, Kathryn Ennis and Joann Wilkins.

He is survived by: his daughters, Jayne Govar of Columbus, GA., Teresa Murdock (Bobby) of Columbus, GA. and Tammy Condrey of Columbus, GA.; and his grandchildren, Tami Wallace, Lauren Aseron, Morgann Hall, Michael Govar, Robert Meadows III, Jessica Bauer, Allyson Lawrence, Nicole Condrey and Tyler Condrey. He is also survived by seventeen great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
