He was predeceased by: his parents, John Thomas and Annie L. Applewhite (Langley); and his grandmothers, Mattie Pearl Meeks and Ella Langley. He is survived by: his siblings, John Thomas Applewhite Jr., Martha Carr (Applewhite) and Cathy Johnson (Applewhite); his nephews, Thomas Harold Johnson and Kristofer Alan Hughes; and his great-nephews, Avery Hughes, Ayrington Hughes and Christian Jacob Johnson.
