Hugh Rodgers wrote a sympathy message

“Bob was gifted in many ways, not least with a marvelous sense of humor, that won him many friends. His sharp intellect found an outlet in an enviable legal career. His natural musical talent, enhanced by excellent training, benefited the choirs of Trinity and St. Thomas Episcopal churches. Bob willingly served his country in a time of war and as public defender benefited his community. He will be missed by many. Our sincerest and deeply felt sympathy to Mary Jane, son Robert and the family.”
