He is survived by: his wife Leigh Vassar Matty; his children, Patrick Adam Matty and Michelle Matty Helms (Richard); his stepdaughters, Chelsey Armstrong (Andy) and Chaney McGehee (Jason); his granddaughters, Sarah Matty Patterson, Jessica Scott Matty, Danielle Matty, Devin Alexis Helms and Autumn Olivia Helms; and his brothers, Francis Matty and Raymond Matty.
