He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Simmons, Jr. and Artis Patricia Thomas; his daughter LaTasha Nicole Wright-France; and his siblings, Emmitt Clark and Yvonne "Yogi" Clark.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda Simmons; his children, Ronnie "Skipper" Wright, Shabra Jackson, Lakesha Passmore and Brenda Johnson; his siblings, Curtis Clark, Sadie Jean Thomas and Cynthia Clark; and his sisters-in-law, Vanessa Wright Knowles and Beverly Clark. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and a host of beloved nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
