He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Evelyn Hudgins and James Allen Hudgins; his sons, Robert Hudgins and David Kelly; and his siblings, Charles William Hudgins and Rosy Hudgins Reynolds.
He is survived by: his wife Pamela Hudgins; his daughter Jenny Swift (Parker Swift VI); his granddaughter Mary Harp McMillen; and his siblings, Gary Hudgins and Myra Preston (Ben Preston). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In addition to the option to donate flowers, the Hudgins family has requested that donations be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation in support of the charitable contributions of Silas.
