It is with sadness that the passing of SMG Shelby P. Jones (Columbus, Georgia) is shared. SMG, born on May 25, 1943, passed away on October 6, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
SMG will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around him. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Shelly Jones and Ethel Jones; and his spouse Inell Alexander Jones.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Progressive Funeral Home (4235 St. Mary's Road, Columbus, GA 31907). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Faith Tabernacle Community Church (1603 Floyd Rd, Columbus, GA 31907).
