She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd Noah Ellerbee and Quincy Mims Ellerbee; and her husband Fred Certain Holt. She is survived by: her children, David Holt (Kelly), Andy Holt, Amy Spear (Rodney) and Ellen Posey (Allen); her grandchildren, Chris Posey, Jessica Holt Hughes, Brian Posey, Stephanie Spear Barron, Steven Holt, Jennifer Holt McTiernan, Amanda Posey Higgs, Emily Spear Cronic, Allison Holt Blankenship and Quincy Holt; and her great grandchildren, Reagan Hughes, Madison Hughes, Jackson Hughes, Hayes Hughes, Carter Cronic, Walker Cronic, Avery Barron, Wiley Barron, Collier Holt, Evelyn and Henry Blankenship.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Striffler-Hamby Mortuary Fisher Chapel (4071 Macon Rd, Columbus, GA 31907). A celebration of life was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The Abbey Presbyterian Student Center in Columbus, Georgia in honor of Fred & Sue Holt.
