He is survived by: his brother Bennie Welch; his children, Burrell Welch (Angie), Sylvia Ruse (John) and Jimmy Welch (Karol Koenig); his grandchildren, Ginnifer Shavers (Alton), Jeremy Welch (Katie), Angelo Owens (Christie), Jessica Welch, Jennifer and Casey Ruse; his great grandchildren, Curt Shavers (Heather), Justin Shavers (Allison), Kendall Shavers, Jayson Jackson, Brandon Welch (Michaela), Dylan Welch (Alyssa), Brian Napier Jr., Desirae Owens, Katelyn Welch, Dalton Welch, Sierra Owens, Elijah Latoraca, Morgan and Chloe Byrd; and his great great grandchildren, Bailey-Rae, Easton, Brentleigh Shavers, Blakely, Koah, Kyler Welch and Many.
He was a member and deacon at Red Hill Christian Church and was active until covid.
