With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Walter Battles of Columbus, Georgia, born in Phenix City, Alabama, who passed away on November 14, 2020 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Battles and Nannie Mae Yarborough Battles; his children, Patti Braswell and Greg Battles (Lori); and his close friend Gerry Murdock. He was also cherished by five grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to the American Cancer Society and the American Heart Association.
