He is survived by: his wife Christy Griffin Barnes; his sons, Gary Griffin Barnes of Chattanooga, TN and Henry Shaw Barnes of Columbus, GA; his father Wayne Barnes (Martha Smith) of Alexander City, AL; and his brother Frank Barnes (Natalie) of Birmingham, AL. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
