He was predeceased by: his parents, John Elbert and Lillie Ivey Rhoden; his sister Ada Westbrook; his children-in-law, Debra Wood Rhoden, David Hanson (Tiny) and Andy Lowry; and his granddaughter Jeanna Dickerson.
He is survived by: his siblings, Ann McSwain of Mississippi and Sidney Rhoden of Mississippi; his significant other Beverly Anglin Rhoden; and his children, Debra Hanson (Rudi), Jean Lowry, Cheryl Holliman (Toni) and Stephen Rhoden. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Meadow Baptist Church or to the Gideon's International, to place Bibles throughout the world.
