He was predeceased by: his parents, Evelyn Crumpton Richardson and Southern Tech; his stepfather Myron Miller; and his sister Charlotte McCook. He is survived by: his wife Beth Beck McCook of Commerce; his sons, Brad McCook (Suzanne) of Commerce and Kevin McCook (Dawn) of Commerce; his sister Carolyn Ricks of Opp, Alabama.; his grandchildren, Blake McCook, Kaleb McCook (Lydia), Kyla McCook Martin (Chandler), Brian Adler (Kat), Michael Adler, Emily Adler and Chase Keller; and his great grandchildren, Avalonne Adler, Ruby Adler and Archie Blair McCook.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 21st 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Evans Funeral Home (1350 Winder Hwy, Jefferson, GA 30549). A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Mars Hill Baptist Church (2661 Mars Hill Rd, Watkinsville, GA 30677).
