She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie McDonald and Carrie Hopper McDonald; her husband Billy Ray Hewell; and her son Michael Eugene Hewell. She is survived by: her sons, Jackie Hewell and Brad Hewell; her son-in-law Kelly; her daughter Melinda Strickland; and her sister Diane Grizzle. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews.
