He was predeceased by: his father Grady Paul Kimbrell. He is survived by: his mother Jewell Clay of Chestnut Mountain; his wife Joan Brand Kimbrell of Commerce; his son Edward Kimbrell (Brook) of Commerce; his grandchildren, Abby Grace, Kinley Faith, Brinly Noel, Trinity Hope and Brody Deacon; and his sister Deb Hill of Chestnut Mountain.

In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to Nails Creek Baptist Church.
