He was predeceased by: his children, Gregory Thomas and Candy Lynn; and his parents, Fannie Lee Smith and Wilburn Whisnant. He is survived by: his son Robert Whisnant; his grandson Brantley Whisnant; and his siblings, U. V. Whisnant, Mary Lou Norris, Alice McDaniel, Eunice Kittle, Nathaniel Whisnant, Harold Whisnant, Buster Whisnant, Daniel Whisnant and James Whisnant.
Though flowers will not be requested, contributions may be made to the funeral home to support the service arrangements in his honor.
