He is survived by: his wife Becky; his son John Mark Hunter (Penny); his stepdaughter Christy Gibson; his grandsons, Max and James Hunter; and his siblings, Shirley Whitlock, Patsy Minish, Becky Chestnut, Bonnie Parr, David (Debra) and Major Hunter (Pam). He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Ivie Funeral Home (1053 S Elm St, Commerce, GA 30529). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 at the Gordon Chapel Church Cemetery (1711 Allou Rd, Royston, GA 30662).
