It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Julia Poole McConnell of Commerce, Georgia, who passed away on May 24, 2026, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Wilson Poole and Florence Poole; her husband Tommy Lee McConnell; and her siblings, Mitchell, Donald, Howard, Billy, Rudolph Poole, Francine Elsner, Annie Sue Greenway, Virginia Pruitt, Ruth Edwards and Myrtle Lewallen.
She is survived by: her daughters, Rita Smith (Doug Beavers) and Patricia Harrington (Alan); her grandchildren, Gentry Brawner (Cory), Ethan Burton and Emalee Sosebee (Dustin); her great grandchildren, Dillon, Ellarae Brawner and Samuel Sosebee; her brother Kenneth Poole; and her siblings-in-law, Jewel Poole, Sandra Poole, Mable McCallister (Bruce), Annie Loudermilk (J. W.) and JoBeth McConnell. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of treasured friends.
