He is survived by: his wife Georgia Thurmond; his children, Cheryl Thurmond and Larry Samuel Thurmond, Jr.; his grandsons, Larry Thurmond (Claire), John Thurmond (Meghan) and Ted Thurmond (Kayla); his great grandchildren, Jane and Waylon Thurmond; and his sisters, Linda, Cathy, Diane, Cynthia and Anne.
