With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Pete Congi (Commerce, Georgia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 22, 2026 at the age of 66. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Pete Congi and Wilma Gay Congi. He is survived by: his wife Lynda Eskew Congi of Jefferson; his children, Marilena "Lena" Congi of Athens and Anthony Joseph "AJ" Congi of Toccoa; his stepchildren, Michael Vernon Cowan Sr. (Katie) of Jefferson and Carla Renee Cowan of Jefferson; his sisters, Marie Congi Davidson and Mary E. Congi Barnett; his siblings-in-law, John L. Barnett of Mt. Clare, WV, Dominick S. Congi of Clarksburg, WV, Carmen D. Congi and Jen Fisher of Morgantown, WV; his nephews, Saverio Joseph "Sammy Joe" Congi and Landon John Fisher-Congi of Morgantown, WV; his grandchildren, Lily Cowan, Grace Buonocore, John Buonocore, MJ Cowan and Asa Cowan; Don Davidson of Bridgeport, WV.
Visitation was held on Saturday, May 2nd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Erastus Christian Church (2050 Neese Commerce Rd, Commerce, GA 30530). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, May 2nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made Erastus Christian Church, 2050 Neese Commerce Rd., Commerce, GA 30530, for use in the Good Samaritan Ministry at Erastus Christian Church.
