She was predeceased by : her parents, John Gowder and Nellie Mae Ward Gowder; her husband Hugh "Dorsey" Stowe; and her siblings, Woodrow Gowder, Hazel Gowder Strickland, Winnie Gowder Lewallen, Janie Gowder O'Kelly, Marion Gowder Hubbard and Lilly Gowder White.

She is survived by : her nieces, Patsy Stewart, Joan Morris, Judy Lewallen Marlow and Linda O'Kelley; and her nephew Trent Strickland.

Visitation was held on Sunday, May 26th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Ivie Funeral Home (1053 S Elm St, Commerce, GA 30529). A funeral service was held on Sunday, May 26th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
