He is survived by: his children, Lisa Mattox Downs (Bruce) of Pensacola, FL and David Sean Mattox (Courtney Boehlke) of Jefferson, GA.; his grandchildren, Mason David Mattox Downs, Henley (Harper Mattox) and Claire Boehlke; and his goddaughter Lauren Mitro.
A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the St. Catherine's Laboure Catholic Church (180 Elrod Rd, Jefferson, GA 30549).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests acts of kindness in his honor or memorials to Jackson County Habitat for Humanity 661 S. Elm Street, Commerce, Georgia 30529.
