He was predeceased by: his parents, George Branan Collins, Jr. and Janie Eppinger Collins; his son Nicholas Branan Collins; and his siblings, Michael Collins and Kay Benge.
He is survived by: his wife Judy Caroline Collins; his children, Natalie Collins (Jeff Kensmoe) of Jacksonville, Jeannine Fuller (Nathan) of Hillsboro and Patrick Collins (Carlena) of Bethlehem; his brother Phil Collins (Kathy) of Johns Creek; his grandchildren, Seth Collins, Claire Garcesa (Elijah), Jacob Roberts (Savannah), Bryn Kensmoe, Aemelia Kensmoe, Blake Collins and Caroline Fuller; his great grandchildren, Carter Garcesa and Ellie Roberts; and his caregivers, Leigh Blum and Loretta Rakestraw. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Fletcher Day Funeral Home (628 N Church St, Thomaston, GA 30286). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
