With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Ruby Fields of Conley, Georgia, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her parents, Rueben Mitchell and Martha Mitchell; her siblings, Julia Johnson, Virginia, Murray, Deloris Mitchell, Mattie Jenkins, Louise Davis, John Mitchell, Howard Mitchell and Barbara Mitchell; and her parents-in-law, Rebecca Fields and Rufus Fields.
She is survived by: her husband Rufus Joe Fields; her children, Tracy Fields and Teri Fields Stratton (Jeremy); and her siblings, Emma Brown, Dina Mincey, Nancy Leach and William Mitchell. She is also survived by sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Viewing will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Saturday, October 25th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Smith-McNeal Funeral Home (2119 Dorchester Rd, North Charleston, SC 29405).
