She was predeceased by: her husband John Henry Sawyer Jr.; her parents, John Thomas and Annie Myrtis Ross; and her brother Johnny Ross. She is survived by: her children, Andrea Ross, Latonia Ross, DeSandra Sawyer, Dorica Wilson (Mark), Kiawanta Sawyer and Debra Sawyer; and her brother Walter Collins. She is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren.
