He was predeceased by: his parents, James Wesley and Clara Cleghorn Mitchell; his sons, Randy Eddie Mitchell, William David Mitchell and Wesley Doyle Mitchell; his former wives, Mary Annett Mitchell and Karen Deanne Mitchell; and his siblings, Raymond Mitchell and Linda Morgan.
He is survived by: his children, Anthony Mitchell and Melissa Covington; his sister Faye; his brother-in-law Gerald Lewis; his grandchildren, Rachael Mincey (Matthew), Emily Mitchell, Nathan Covington, Amberly Covington, Brandon Covington, Darren Covington, Thomas Covington and Lucas Covington; and his great grandchildren, Chloe Young, Mitchell Mincey and Kayden Covington. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 10th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Henry Funeral Home (6833 Church St, Lithonia, GA 30058). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 10th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Hillandale Memorial Park (6201 Hillandale Dr, Lithonia, GA 30058).
