He is survived by: his children, Steven Matthew Holmes, Sally Janel Holmes Allen (Scott Morgan Allen) and Suzanne Marie Holmes Funk; his grandchildren, Jordan Marie Holmes, Laurel Jane Holmes Esposito, Sara Marie Funk, Summer Jane Funk and Owen Morgan Allen; and his sister Edith Holmes Bowie.
