James Alton Davis III Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Alton Davis III (Conyers, Georgia), who passed away on August 1, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Alton Davis II and Romola Bryson (Collins); his wife Judy Abbott Davis; his son James Stanley Davis; his granddaughter Catherine Hand; and his brothers, Allan Bryson and Dan Davis.
He is survived by: his daughters, Davina Pettyjohn and Deanna Cathcart; his grandchildren, Anthony Hand, Jennifer Hand, Travis Hand, Chase Davis, Tristen Cathcart, Andrew Cathcart and Gavin Fletcher; his great grandchildren, Austin Hand, Dalton Hand, Katelynn Hand, Roselynn Cathcart and Jonathan Jansen; and his girlfriend Teresa Hunt.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 8th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, August 9th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Green Meadow Memorial Gardens (699 American Legion Rd NE, Conyers, GA 30012). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Scot Ward's Green Meadow Chapel (699 American Legion Rd NE, Conyers, GA 30012).
