He is survived by: his children, Shannon Stanley, Heather Marie Terry (Barron) and Joel Franklin Terry Jr.; his grandchildren, Taylor Davis (Dustin), Victoria Stanley, Taryn Stanley and Nicholas Stanley; and his sister Brenda Spivey. He is also survived by numerous nieces & nephews.
