As Kay departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Kay may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Kay leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Nicholas Bednar and Elizabeth Bednar; her husband George Clayton Haffner; and her son Jeffrey Haffner. She is survived by: her daughters, Linda Christine Burkett, Cindy (Jon Hamilton) and Vicki (Jerry Mobley). She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to the Wounded Warrior Project.
