He was predeceased by: his mother Mattie Ruth Hester Vaughn; and his brother William Smith. He is survived by: his stepfather Tom Vaughn; his children, Pearce Giles (Cythnia) of Monroe, Georgia, Sharon Leveritte (Doug) of Stone Mountain, Morris Hester, Jr. of Barrow, Robbie Hutchens of Conyers, Tracie Tann of Petersburg, Rodney Griffith of Athens and Jeneane Holmes of Richmond, Virginia.; and his sister Beunice Hester of Conyers. He is also survived by Grandchildren, Great-Grandchildren.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Young-Levett Funeral Home (129 W Washington St, Monroe, GA 30655).
