She was predeceased by: her parents, J. B. Shaw and Laura Lorene Phillips Shaw; and her sister Rose Alice Denny. She is survived by: her husband Thomas William "Tommy" Hicks of Conyers, GA; her sons, Kendall Hicks (Leaha) of Anderson, SC and Jay Hicks (Jill) of Covington, GA; her grandchildren, Jason Hicks (Jordan), Kristen Leach (Chris), Kaitlyn Woodruff (Paul), Jordan Hebert (Dexter), Morgan Glass (Zachary) and Aubrey Hicks; and her brother Bobby Shaw of Hartwell. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
