She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Edward and Carrie Beatrice Palmer; and her husband Rev. Roosevelt Harmon, Jr..
She was an active and devoted member of the Virginia Beach Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Las Amigas, Incorporated, Pinochle Bugs Social & Civic Club, Inc., and the Virginia Breast Cancer Foundation.
