She was predeceased by: her parents, Bonnie Anderson and Lester Caldwell. She is survived by: her siblings, Wanda Kelly and Ray Caldwell; her spouse Ransome W. Swords; her children, Steve Swords (Kelley), David Swords (Supattra) and Leslie Howell (Chad); her stepdaughters, Donna Childers and Debbie Lett; her grandchildren, Mike Swords (Gina), Heather Talton (Pete), Travis Swords (Kelli), Sydney Howell (Grant Grahl), Camden Howell, Abbey Howell, Emily Swords and Sadie Swords; her great grandchildren, Tripp Swords, Luke Swords, Avery Moon (Dustin), Molly Swords, Wesley Talton and Silas Talton; and her great great grandchild Walker Moon.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Scot Ward's Green Meadow Chapel (699 American Legion Rd NE, Conyers, GA 30012). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites friends and loved ones to make a contribution in Peggy's memory to the First Baptist Church of Lithonia Georgia.
