He was predeceased by: his father Hobert Baker; his wife Sara Baker of Virginia; and his children, Bryan Baker and Shelley Baker. He is survived by: his children, Rodney Baker (Carol), Jodie Ledezma (Sabas) and Troy Lovell Baker, Jr. (Deanne); and his daughter-in-law Pamula Blackwell Baker.
