He was predeceased by: his wife Peggy Cocroft Kerr; his parents, Thomas Kerr and Gladys Kerr; his brother Eddie Kerr; his half-brothers, Bobby Kerr, Phillip Kerr and Tom Shacklett; and his stepgrandson Nicolas Trexler.
He is survived by: his sister Sue Harper (Brian); his stepchildren, Carol Esz, Steven Cocroft (Nancy Cocroft) and Michael Cocroft (Pilar Cocroft); and his stepgrandchildren, Andrew Cocroft, Kelly Cocroft, Emily Hubbard, Laura Cocroft and Carlton Wyatt Cocroft.
The family asks that donations be made to The Purple Heart Project in lieu of flowers.
