She was predeceased by: her parents, John Carmichael and Maude Poore Carmichael; her husband Curtis Joiner; her siblings, Dan Carmichael, Sara Brookard and Frances Ford; and her grandson Shannon Kirkpatrick.
She is survived by: her daughters, Roxann Vinson (Wes) and Dawn Harrell (Hugh); her siblings, Jack Carmichael (Melba), Loretta Simms, Linda Saunders and Lois Baldwin (Charles); and her grandchildren, Kimberly Massey, Haley Taylor, Nikki Dellinger, Jason Britt and Reagan Harrell. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Rainey Family Funeral Services (1415 E 24th Ave, Cordele, GA 31010-0416). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Rainey Funeral Services (1415 E 24th Ave, Cordele, GA 31015).
