He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Willie James West and Louisa Harris West; his spouse Ollie Mae Corbin West; his children, Johnny West (Geraldine), Sander West, Jesse West, Oscar West, Dorothy West, Donna West and James West, Jr.; and his siblings, Kathlen Tolbert and Claudia Waters. He was also cherished by 24 grandchildren, 51 great-grandchildren, 9 great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
