We are sad to announce that on April 7, 2024, at the age of 79, Simon Newton (Cordele, Georgia) passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Simon Newton to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Mont "Wheelis" Newton and Fannie Mae Griggs; his brothers, Arthur Newton, James Wilbur Newton and Herbert Newton; and his great grandchild Presleigh Lee.

He is survived by : his wife Linda Newton of Albany; his children, Ricky Newton (Rachel) of Ocilla and Becky Cole (Truman) of Albany; his grandchildren, Nikki Lee of Lania Newton, T. J, Travis Perry and Travis Cole; and his great grandchildren, Reagan Ballew, Karsyn Ballew, Hayden Ballew, Tucker Newton, Payton Newton, Fraya Lee, Braydon Cole and Shane Smith. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 9th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hughes & Wright Funeral Home (1010 E 8th Ave, Cordele, GA 31015). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 10th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
