He was predeceased by : his grandmother Mae O. Mize; his stepgrandfather Marvin C. Mize; his mother Ruby N. Turner; his sister Dollie J. Turner; his nephew Andrew "Andy" Turner; and his aunt Freda Percival.

He is survived by : his siblings, Deborah M. Virden (Bruce) of Lula, William F. Turner (Sandra) of Cornelia and Richard G. Turner (Vickie) of Mt. Airy; his nephew Damien Turner of Cornelia; his great-nephew Wyatt Turner of Mt. Airy; his great-niece Lana Turner of Mt. Airy; and his close friend Ella Trimiar of Cornelia.
