He was predeceased by: his parents, Bobby Sargent and Elizabeth "Libby" Flanagan Sargent; his brother Richard Sargent; his grandson Skye Sargent; his stepson-in-law Brad Grizzle; and his stepfather-in-law James Campbell.
He is survived by: his wife Robin Sargent of Cornelia; his daughter Bunnie; his son-in-law Eric Herbert of Cleveland; his son Jonathan; his daughter-in-law Jennifer Sargent of Clermont; his stepchildren, Trista Grizzle of Clermont and Joey Ferguson of Mt. Airy; his son-in-law Kurt Gosnell of Mt. Airy; his sister Teresa; his brother-in-law Ricky Wilson of Alto; his brother Alan; his sister-in-law Cathy Sargent of Murrayville; his brother Tony Evans of Chestnut Mountain; his grandchildren, Layla, Bayle, Gracie Mae, Makenzie, Levi, Cydney, Brooklyn and London; his great grandchildren, Daniella and Sofia; and his mother-in-law Jeanette Campbell of Cornelia. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
