She was predeceased by: her husband James Edward Staples Sr. (Jimmy); her daughter Katrina Marie Staples; her parents, Clarence Hughes and Hazel Hughes; her sisters, Eugenia Thompson and Anne Jobe; her brother-in-law Lewis Jobe; her brother Clarence Hughes; and her siblings-in-law, Margaret Ricketson, Howard Staples and Eunice Staples.
She is survived by: her son James Edward [Eddie] Staples Jr. (Kimberly) of Buford; her granddaughter MacKenzie Wells Staples of Nashville, TN; her siblings, Frances Crow (John) of Rincon, GA, James Hughes (Lillian) of Thomasville, GA and William Hughes (Georgianne) of Murphy, NC; her brothers-in-law, Robert Staples (Margaret) of Miami, FL and John Staples of Catawissa, MO; and her nieces, Angela Bucy (Ricky), Rebecca Smith (Buddy) and Robin Zeidler (Gerald). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, and great-grandnieces and great-grandnephews.
