He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Bill Franklin, Betty Gaines Cunningham, Freeman and Daisy Fry; and his stepgrandmother Mabel Ray Fry.
He is survived by: his parents, Dr. Kenneth Franklin and Francesca Fry Franklin; his son Preston Aaron; his daughter-in-law Destany Franklin; his sister Michelle Franklin Shlapak; his brother-in-law Greg Shlapak; his grandchildren, Preston James "P. J." Franklin and Bentley Aaron Franklin; and his aunt Deborah Franklin. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, August 21st 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the McGahee-Griffin & McEntire Funeral Home (175 VFW Rd, Cornelia, GA 30531).
