He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Bangs Burton; his sons, Shawn (Maggie Burton), Shannon Burton, Jeremy (Kora Burton) and Matthew Burton; his granddaughters, Charlotte Burton and Violet Melissa Burton; his sister Betty; his brother-in-law Ken Simpson; his brothers, William Edward Burton and Mitchell; and his sister-in-law Mary Lou Dill. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
