It is with sadness that the passing of Sara Kay Massey of Cornelia, Georgia is shared. Sara Kay, born on June 13, 1941, passed away on October 7, 2026. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Sara Kay Massey to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Hubert Mealor and Reba Lucille Massey Mealor; her husband Billy Cody Massey; her siblings, Jerry J. Mealor and Pearlene Mealor Wood; and her siblings-in-law, Bobby L. Massey and Jeri Massey.
She is survived by: her sons, James (Debbie Franklin Massey) and Joel (Rebecca Jones Massey); her grandchildren, Austin, Rebekka Massey, Ashby, Nicole Massey, Avery, Destiny Massey, Lon Massey and Carter Massey; and her great grandchildren, Cody James Massey and Carlee Nicole Massey. She is also survived by other relatives and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the McGahee-Griffin & McEntire Funeral Home (175 VFW Rd, Cornelia, GA 30531). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Cornelia (325 Oak St, Cornelia, GA 30531). A burial will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 5:15 PM at the Level Grove Cemetery (121 Cemetery Dr, Cornelia, GA 30531).
Flowers are graciously accepted; however, in keeping with Mrs. Sara's loving and generous spirit, it was her heartfelt wish that memorial donations be made to Cornelia Elementary School, c/o Habersham Board of Education, P.O. Box 70, Clarkesville, GA. 30523 to help provide for children in need.
