With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Willard Ernest Irvin of Cornelia, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 13, 2025 at the age of 99. He was predeceased by: his parents, E. T. Irvin and Bond Potts Irvin; his siblings, Harold Irvin, Marvin Irvin, Dood Irvin (Tarris), Nell Dalton and Dot Banks; and his grandson Cody Gowder.
He is survived by: his son Dennis; his daughter-in-law Gail Irvin of Homer; his daughter Janice; his son-in-law James Norton of Hull; his siblings, Raymond Irvin, Barbara King and Bondell Cathey; his grandchildren, Kim Tanner, Tammie Gowder, Blake Norton, Kyle Norton and Jessica; his great grandchildren, Drew Tanner, Ashley Mitchell, Jeff, Macy Norton and Amarah Williams; his great great grandchildren, Caleb Mitchell and Evelyn Mitchell; his pets, Kitty Cat and Sally; Ben and Kathie.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel (1370 Industrial Blvd, Baldwin, GA 30511). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Chattahoochee Baptist Church Cemetery (7905 Duncan Bridge Rd, Cleveland, GA 30528).
